Tools of SEO ("we", "us") respects visitor privacy. This page summarizes what data we collect and why.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, device type). Google handles this data per their privacy policy. You can opt out via browser settings or a privacy extension.

Affiliate tracking

When you click an affiliate link (any URL starting with /go/), we log the slug and referring URL on our own infrastructure for our independent click counts. The destination affiliate program also drops its own cookie per their policy.

No email collection (yet)

We do not currently operate an email list. If that changes, this page will be updated and any signup form will explain what you're subscribing to.

Cookies

First-party: none required for the site to function. Third-party: GA4 (analytics), and any cookies dropped by affiliate networks when you click a /go/ link.
